Compensation: Approximately $160,000–$165,000+ Annualized, DOE | Hourly/Payroll, Full Benefits

An exceptional private family in the Burlingame area is seeking an experienced, energetic, and highly engaging ROTA Nanny to join their established household team. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for a career nanny who genuinely loves working with school-aged children and brings a wonderful balance of playfulness, professionalism, and initiative.
The family has three children, an 11-year-old, 8-year-old, and 7-year-old, all of whom attend school full-time. The incoming nanny will partner with an established ROTA Nanny who has been with the family for over a year, working an alternating 7 days on / 7 days off schedule.
This is a fully staffed and collaborative household with an Estate Manager, Facilities Manager, housekeeping team, chef, and existing ROTA Nanny. The ideal candidate understands how to work seamlessly within a staffed private home while also being comfortable working closely alongside involved and hands-on parents.
Responsibilities
• Help the children get ready for school and keep mornings organized and running smoothly
• Prepare breakfast and school lunches
• Assist with school drop-offs/pickups and transportation to activities as needed
• Provide attentive, engaging care for all three children
• Assist with homework and school-related needs
• Plan age-appropriate activities, outings, and experiences
• Keep the children engaged through play, conversation, activities, and quality time
• Help manage afternoon, dinner, and bedtime routines
• Organize and declutter children’s bedrooms, play areas, closets, toys, and other child-related spaces
• Monitor children’s clothing and supplies and order needed items
• Sort through clothing and toys as the children grow
• Research extracurricular activities, camps, classes, and other opportunities
• Assist with planning children’s birthdays and special activities
• Handle various child-related projects and Family Assistant responsibilities during school hours
• Maintain awareness of the children’s schedules, activities, and upcoming needs
• Travel domestically and/or internationally with the family as needed
• Work collaboratively with the parents, co-nanny, Estate Manager, and other household staff
A dedicated nanny vehicle is provided during working hours.
Ideal Candidate
The family would especially love to find someone with a teaching, education, or similar child-development background. A candidate who understands how to guide and manage school-aged children while still making their days fun and engaging would be a wonderful fit.
The family is looking for someone who is warm, bubbly, playful, energetic, and genuinely fun. You should be comfortable being silly, getting down on the children’s level, and actively participating in their world rather than simply supervising from the sidelines.
At the same time, the nanny should be polished and professional, have excellent judgment, and understand how to work as part of a larger household team.
Qualifications
• Significant professional nanny experience, ideally with school-aged children
• ROTA and/or fully staffed private household experience strongly preferred
• Teaching, education, or child-development experience is a major plus
• Engaging, playful, upbeat personality
• Strong organizational and Family Assistant skills
• Comfortable balancing childcare with child-related projects during school hours
• Team-oriented and receptive to feedback and direction
• Adaptable and able to go with the flow in a busy household
• Professional, discreet, reliable, and proactive
• Strong communication skills
• Comfortable traveling with a family
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to make a long-term commitment
