Full Time Nanny & Educator needed in Seattle

An active, warm family is seeking a full-time Nanny Tutor to support four children, ages 7, 3, 3, and infant. The Nanny Tutor will work closely with the mother and other caregivers, stepping in to assist with all four children as needed. The primary focus of the role will be planning and delivering homeschool instruction for the eldest child, with age-appropriate learning activities for the 3-year-old twins.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate has a strong background in education and experience working with school-age children. A former classroom educator with a master’s degree in teaching is preferred; candidates with substantial non-classroom teaching or educational experience with this age group will also be considered. The candidate should be comfortable caring for infants, toddlers, and school-age children, collaborating closely with the mother, and shifting between educational and childcare responsibilities as needed. A fun, energetic presence, clear communication, sound judgment, physical stamina, flexibility, and a pitch-in attitude are essential.

Note: must be comfortable sharing the home with a large (but well trained) German shepherd dog, although he or she would not be responsible for his care.

If travel is not possible, the candidate will develop educational materials for use during travel, remain available to oversee selected lessons remotely, and may occasionally work additional hours before or after trips to provide relief for the travel nanny.
