**A large part of this role is being the dedicated caretaker for the client's dog. The owner travels often and wants to have a dedicated person the dog can develop a relationship with instead of kenneling the dog. This is a high energy dog that requires 2 hours of exercise a day and an attentive and commanding caretaker.**
The owner spends 7 months in Puerto Rico and the remainder in New England or traveling abroad. This role requires that you travel as the dedicated caretaker of the doberman in addition to performing the personal assistant duties outlined below.
Some of this role will be able to be completed remotely, but you will need to be willing to travel (with the potential for extended periods of time - see below for more information). Entrepreneur spends summers in New England, so travel and living in other places for extended periods a requirement.
Some of the main things he is looking for are:
- Either staying at the owner's house to watch his dog or hosting the dog at your house; this could be anywhere from 1-2 days to a month or longer. Comfort with dogs and animals a must.
- scheduling appointments, running errands, etc. For example, you may be required to meet contractors/etc on the owners behalf 's to facilitate those appointments.
- Tidying/organizing owner's home, buying groceries, errands
- Liaise with key individuals in Principal’s circle
- Vetting of vendors
- Liaising with vendors either in person or remotely depending on the project
- Procuring and negotiating project estimates and presenting them to the designated authority, which may or may not include recommendations
- Vehicle management and maintaining records
Skills and Aptitudes:
Experience as an executive or personal assistant
Fluent in Spanish (preferred but not required)
Capable of assuming household management responsibilities
A proactive mindset with a keen eye for detail and deficiencies
Be both organized and an organizer
Confidence to ask intelligent and succinct questions when unsure
An ability to identify problems before they become emergencies
An effective communicator
Ability to work in a self-directed manner
Positive, accommodating, and happy personality that respects professional boundaries
Must be willing to sign a confidentiality agreement
Ability to work collaboratively with others
Must hold current status to legally work in the US
